Any time I read about The Conduit and HVS, my belief that it's incredibly important that this game sells well solidifies. Not just sell well, but explode out of the launch gates and has relatively good legs.

Let's be honest - all 3rd party developers are watching this game. They are all watching to see if it will actually sell well. This game will give them the final proof that the Wii can move "Core" titles if the effort and polish is put into a game. This game can reverse the current developer mindset that the Wii is just "A shovelware platform" where they can make a quick buck.

The ball is in Sega's court now. We on the internet know of this game, but the masses do not. If Sega can break out a kick ass advertising campaign, market the game well and ensure its success, we can be assured that every single 3rd party dev out there will really start hammering the Wii with the truly great software we've been waiting for.

If this game doesn't sell at least 600k in the first week (and move onto becoming a million+ seller in the future), I will be severely disappointed.

No offense but i seriously hope you are wrong. If 3rd party developers are waiting for this, then it means that the next good games would should be expecting will only be released two years from now.

I'd like to think that many brilliant games are in development and that the Conduit is just the first out of the gates. If this game is as good as people are saying i think it will sell. Firstly because there are just not so many good FPS on the Wii, and though i agree that most FPS players will have be 360 owners, i think many Wii owners wouldn't mind getting their hands on a good FPS again.

Some people also underestimate the number of PS360 owners that also own a Wii on the side that probably collects dust. Even they can't deny there is something great about a good FPS with strong Wii controls. I don't see this game selling 6 million copies, but i am hoping for at least RE4 heights if the game gets good reviews.

If this is utilising the Wii to it's maximum then I can fully understand why the vast majority of 3rd party developers choose not to , the Wii is as efficient as a lightbulb.

The only reason i haven't clicked the "report this post" button is because i don't want you to go crying about wii bias.. but hopefully you can see how your post has no use but to troll the game and the console it is on

It's not trolling though , it's true the Wii is isn't efficient but I was referring to it's graphical capabilities. The work put into the Wii vs the graphical result just doesn't justify fully utilising the Wii IMO it doesn't look much better than high end PS2 or XBOX games.

99% of 3rd parties seem to agree with me so I guess you should ban them from Vgchartz too.

you are right.. i've read a lot of posts made here by developers claiming, after vigorous research, that the wii is indeed as efficient as a lightbulb

I've just given out the second warning of the thread.

The next off-topic comment will result in a ban. Discuss the topic or exit the thread.

Don't reply to me, don't reply to the other off-topic comments, just get back on the topic and stay there.

Oh right, on topic.

I agree with this statement. But more importantly, I want those puzzles to let their presence be known. My biggest fear so far is that you'll be pulling that thing out every five feet to shine it on a wall just in case. I don't want to be bogged down by constant wall searching. As long as it usually makes some sort of sense when you need to pull your scanner out, I'll be happy.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

stof: From all the videos I've seen, You get a little symbol of the ASE in one of the corners of the screen that tells you that there is a puzzle around.. So it won't bog the player down I don't think..

It tells you when you need to use it, I'm not sure about the invisable bombs but from the wall puzzles it tells you.  There may be more secret stuff, I know they've said there will be hidden objects and enemies, and things to find on each level.  So lots of extras and it all sounds pretty good to me.

I want a decent number of hours of storymode gameplay - 10-15 would be good. 8 minium.

Second: Awesome online play. It may not compare to what's on the HD consoles but for most Wii owners that won't matter.

Third: Split screen multiplayer - Okay, not happening. Maybe in Conduit 2 then.

Just by the nature of Wii owners I doubt this will have a huge first week. However it should be like RE4 and sit on the charts for a couple years (like CoD4 would have if not for CoD5) and chart upwards of 2m. It'll be a huge hit for HVS and they have sequels. Red Steel 2 will also do well but I don't see Wii supporting a lot of FPS like the HD consoles do.

Next I want HVS to make Super Mario Paintball which will sell 15m

In a interview they said it will have a 10 hour long singleplayer not including trying to find the extras and such.  Which for a shooter is quite the accomplishment (this gen atleast it used to be unacceptable in past gens) if it turns out to take that long.  I don't think you should question online multiplayer, I mean Wii speak, custom controls, and no friend codes, really that boosts the enjoyment I had with MoH:H2 ten times alone.  Then add in the awesome weapons and such it should turn out to be pretty good.
