I've been waiting that game for a while now. Waited in line to get it and I just sold it about 30 minutes ago.

I can't say I'm not disappointed with the game. It had soooo much potential. but...

Bought the game on the illusion I can get user-created music on there (no, if Activision will come up with master track for 2 bucks a song, I will pay for it).. but for the fact they actively blocking any copy-righted songs, as oppose to the "You-tube" method.... is beyond disappointment.

I don't mind paying for tracks, but the fact I want to throw my money at them and they won't take it... instead, strip me the right to songs I actually want. *sighs*, what a world.

Sorry bout that. I too was really excited for this game, but it is looking more and more like I will pick up Rock Band 2 over this. Do you know if songs I purchased for Guitar Hero 3 are playable on Guitar Hero World Tour, just like Rock Band, or is that a no go??

no, I don't think so, my Guitar Hero 3 songs (i didn't actually buy any, but I had a few free downloaded tracks) that didn't transfer over. One of them is from Aerosmith, which I happen to like a lot.

They block copyrighted content? That sucks. I don't care about random people songs.

I'm pissed at Harmonix about Rockband Wii.

-game was released seven months late
-no online
-no DLC
-no city, venue, setlist World Tour selections
-no fans, stars, or unlockable World Tour merchandise
-no character creation
-did I mention the game was released seven months late?

This is unacceptable. When I read up on Rockband Wii before I bought it, I'd just thought there was no online or DLC. That doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that THE ENTIRE FREAKING GAME SUCKS. And there's no damn reason it should. The Wii is more than capable of EVERYTHING the PS3 and 360 versions are - GH:WT proves that. So why does Harmonix jerk off for seven months and release this mess? Pure laziness and disrespect for Wii owners.

So if they're going to be asses to me, I'm going to be an ass to them. And I will never buy a game of theirs again.

GH:WT for Wii has every single feature of the PS3 and 360 counterparts. Every feature. AND it includes a special Wii-centric mode that (obviously) can't be found on the other consoles. So, yeah. I am going to fully support the Guitar Hero games and Rockband will never get a cent from me again.

Since I already have GH3 for Wii, and the Wii version has extra content (plus I'm not a DLC person anyhow), I'll be buying the Wii version of GH:WT. If it weren't for the fact that I already have GH3Wii, then I'd probably be uncertain which console to get it for - 360 or Wii? Would I want to at least have DLC available, or have the (strange) Mii-mode? Dunno, but since I already have my GH3 guitar for Wii, I'm gonna stick with Wii.


PS: If anybody wants a slightly used Rockband for Wii - all instruments and everything included - I'm selling for cheap. Game's $140 new? I'll sell for $100.

That sucks, even if it's not too surprising. I'll still be getting it myself, mind you, but it would have been nice to have the whole enchilada.
