I actually should rephrase it to "what disapoints me about people and is being exemplified in LBP" is how completely unimaginative people are. The ability to make just about anything and just about every level is a remake of somebody elses work. MGS4 levels, Super mario and sonic levels, batman levels, mirrors edge levels, god of war levels, uncharted levels, final fantasy levels, phantasy star levels, naruto levels, James Bond levels, motorstorm levels. 90% of levels (made up figure) are just rip offs of somebody else's work. Provided tools of incredible creativity people just spit out whatever had already been fed to them.

 What's up with that? Can't anybody come up with at least their own characters or plot line? At the very least make a spy that fights a giant walking helicopter and his twin brother instead of making MGS4. At least then you can say it's yours even if it's not going to win any awards for originality.

That's not to say NOBODY is coming up with their own stuff, it's just that they are an extreme minority.

I liked the Mirror's Edge level. I agree with what you are saying. It just makes it all the more satisfying when you come across a level that is truly original and well done. My favorite level so far is the World of Colour.

You need to realize one thing....right now people are "familiarising" themselves WITH the game.....choosing a "FAMILIAR" theme to "them" will make this easier.

so the first levels WILL be rip off's of games as that is within the comfort levels of people's minds for a "beginning/first level"

If they feel they have successfully created a level based on a game they already know....then maybe they will be inclined to do an original one

lol, that's a theory darth. But I question the validity of it. It takes more work to try and make the tools create somebody elses vision than your own. People just don't have imaginations.

If I had the game, I'd make something original. I have some good ideas that I'll play around with once I get used to the create part of the game. Well, right after my friend and I make that tribute to Nariko level. =)

That World of Colour level is just great, I could play it all day long.
