.... according to google earth I still live in the Forrest with trees everywhere . Other then that pretty accurate .

If you look in the google earth folder in the program files, there should be an .exe to run in directx mode. Also, just a word of warning: Apparently it caches all the textures and 3D buildings that you have viewed in the session in your RAM, which can add up REALLY fast. I got it up to 1.35 GB (out of 2 GB total) on my laptop and it's running Vista (read "650MB of RAM") - pop-in FTW!!! Still, it does do a clean RAM-dump when you shut it down, which is more than can be said for a certain other program I love.... /cough firefox /cough

lol. I just zoomed in on Manhatten with the 3D buildings on and Earth's RAM jumped by 150MB.

Edit: Holy **** I despise my laptop's graphics card..... and I can't replace it either, which makes it even worse. (stupid integrated graphics cards..... let's just say I've learned a lot about computer hardware in the last 14 months that I wish I knew when I got my laptop)
