I choose consoles by the number of games it has that I want to play. No other factor.

Boycotting the following:

1. Yoshi: He ate my car and spit out a toaster.

2. Igglybuff: Totally false advertisement. You can have as many as you like they don't buff nothing.

3. the Terms Hardcore/Softcore... We're talking Video Games. Not Porn.

4. The term Casual as relates to Gamers: We make them sound like outsider's that happen to play games. If that were the case they'd own a PS3.

5. Donuts.... Beacause I drink Beer...... and the biggest fan of Donuts hates Beer.

6. Boycotts: Their so lame.

Reasons for getting my PS3:
- Owner of Ps1 and Ps2
- Bluray
- HD graphics
- future games (FF13, MGS4, DMC4......)

i was going to wait some time to get it (high price), but the thing that sealed the deal for me is the one and only: Uncharted drakes Fortune !!! What a game, honestly its the best game this gen (side by side with MGS4)

Wii had the best Japanese line-up so I picked Wii. Don't regret it so far, I'm still wait for Fatal Frame IV though.

Bet - "PES 2009 (PS3) will sell (closer to) 150k first week in Japan" - Pooperscopper
"It will sell closer to 125k" - Me I agree. ME = OWNED :(

How I decide if a console is worth buying

if ((# of games I want that are released or near release) * (average price of games)) >= price of console I get that console.

I don't necessarily have to buy all those games but that way I at least have a selection of games when I buy it so if one turns out bad I still have something to play.

The 360 just squeaked by this rule a year after launch, the Wii hit it easily at launch, and the PS3 still hasn't it but I got it for free anyways.

PS3

Reason = Loyalty to Sony since i previously own a PS1-2, DAH CELL XD, All my favo games are now coming 2009-10, MGS4 (Well when i got it i didnt know the hype was so high it was afterwards, I was like OH lets try it and it was FREAKING AWESOME MAN ID BUY IT ONLY FOR THAT EVEN IF I HATED SONY ), Blu-ray (Graphics on exclusives blows me off), PS Home, Free online, I decided to buy PS3 since i got my PS2 XD. And now ive promised my self the same thing on PS4

Wii: I knew it would win through casual and thought that would spread to hadercore. Boy was I wrong. At least I get some good games now and then though. I would have proffered Gamecube2.

DS- I planned to get lots of 1st party games, then jump to PSP once DS sank due to dual screens and touch screens being a lousy idea. Guess I was wrong, but I got a PSP later anyway becuase DS 3D is simply horrible and DS lite has a crappy D pad.

PSP- lots of great games I wanted, significanly better graphics than DS. Games are cheap used.

360- Banjo Kazooie. and Viva pinata and geometry wars and oblivion and ToV and some friends already have a 360

going to get-

PS3- PS2 BC, Blu Ray player, LBP, Valkeryia Chronicles, Disgaea 3.
