The J man has a feeling that casual gaming on the consoles will be on the rise. Now as you all know when one side goes up the other side goes down meaning that with casual gaming going up hardcore gaming has no where to go but down. That not to say it will be obliterated but seeing the profitability with casual games more developers will look into it and capitalize on it therefore making it their priority. The J man does not want this. With the rumors of a "wii-mote" going to the 360 and sony patenting their wii mote this future seems very likely.

Games are like an addiction.

People can start off as a Casual Drinker, Smoker, etc..

But once they get hooked they are hooked, and become in a way (hardcore) for more.

The casual gamers of this Gen will be Hardcore gamers next Gen, well majority anyway.

and with that, there will be more Hardcore gamers next Gen.

You do realize that casual market has been bigger than the hardcore market for quite sometime right? Most consoles and handhelds are bought by casuals.

I think it's just like PC games... there's enough room for both to survive.
