Forums - Nintendo - The old CoD4 debate on Wii a year later

I think if anyone pulls it off it'll be high voltage. There really the only ones that seem to want to push wii.

If anybody will do it, it will be Nintendo.  Not HVS.

Zelda Wii...believe!

We're also comparing a game which runs at 30 or fewer frames per second on the Wii to a game which played at a locked 60 FPS on the PS3/360. Thats a significant difference in itself.

If you take ID as gospel that gives the developers 3x the performance to work with than had the Wii game been running at 60FPS.

Tease.

Oh man you failed so hard right there I feel sorry for you. HVS got tons of offers from publishers after the game was officially announced at IGN. They were even able to finish the game before deciding on a publisher, so the publishers couldn't interfer with the quality of the game.

BS.  You're telling me HVS had *millions* of $$/risk to sink into a project without the backing of a publisher?  Why don't they self-publish if their pockets are so deep?

Dream on.  They were scrambling for a publisher to offer them a decent enough deal so they wouldn't go under after this game.  Sega isn't exactly a phenominon as of late... I hope this was a horrid business decision for them.

You're pulling that shit straight out of your ass. I'm just stating facts.

Right, because anything HVS says in an interview is the gospel truth.  I forgot.

Ah, yes. I should believe a random fanboy on a gaming forum instead of the developers themselves. Sounds very reasonable.

Ok maybe you didn't hear me the first time Groucho, On Topic or stop posting in this thread, you only want to troll and derail a nice discussion. I gave Username his warning and final one for you get on topic or I'm reporting you, simple as that.

On Topic: What do you people think about licenseing out the Quantum 3 tech to developers on Wii? It could really boost the overall standard of graphics on Wii much like the Unreal Engine on PS3 and 360. Then seeing what people could do with that could make it look very good.

It'd be a great idea, but unfortunately HVS already stated they won't license the engine.

Actually I've stated it earlier in the thread, there's two stories going on, one is Eric saying "we're no middle-ware developer" and then you have the other stories including the quantum 3 demo video which was trying to promote the engine and license it out.
