Forums - Gaming Discussion - Do you buy or rent games?

I'm in the fortunate position where I can buy any game I want, but I am still considering gamefly since I buy a game about every other week.

Question does gamefly send a manual? It's not a huge deal, but I was wondering.  Also, is it tough to getting the most popular games?

Gamefly doesn't send a manual. They do if you buy the game, which is like 25% cheaper. It isn't tough to get the newest games. If you want to get a game the day it's release, make sure you don't have any game out. If you try to get the game a day or so after the game is released, then yeah it's tough. It also depends on the console the game is on. I heard new 360 games are hard to get. Gamefly shipped me LittleBigPlanet the day they received. Got it today.

I used to rent games, but it's been years since I've done that. Now I just buy the games I want.

No game will last forever, therefore no reason to WASTE 60 bucks on a game,i dont care what game it is,ALL games get boring after a while even KZ2,GeOW2,R2,GOWIII,GTA4,COD4 All are boring

I tend to buy games and then after I beat them I trade them in. If it's a game I will play forever, I end up keeping.

I do both on a regular basis.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Depends... If I know I'll want to play a game a lot I'll buy it... If I think I might want to play it but I'm not sure... I'll rent it first... I do that with movies to. ( I know what I like so very seldom do I make mistakes... and if I do there is always Ebay.)

Boycotting the following:

1. Yoshi: He ate my car and spit out a toaster.

2. Igglybuff: Totally false advertisement. You can have as many as you like they don't buff nothing.

3. the Terms Hardcore/Softcore... We're talking Video Games. Not Porn.

4. The term Casual as relates to Gamers: We make them sound like outsider's that happen to play games.  If that were the case they'd own a PS3.

5. Donuts.... Beacause I drink Beer...... and the biggest fan of Donuts hates Beer.

6. Boycotts: Their so lame.

i usually just buy games, however If i think a game looks good but im still not sure if i want to buy I may rent it (if none of my friends already have it) this is rarely though
