Pretty much a rip off of LBP, LBP looks way better graphically, and that Boku doesnt look very entertaining.

Interesting - I guess development ON consoles was always bound to become popular at some point.
Its the Wii, with the pointer than has the most potential though. Toss in WiiSpeak, and you could have some real interesting possibilities. Content would have to be saved to SD card though.

Please list the reasons that would lead one to believe this is a rip off of LBP.
Edit: Please enlighten me to the reasoning that lead you to believe this is a rip off of LBP.
Edit Again: Please inform me where this is anywhere listed as a game akin to LBP and not a "visual programming language" or "designed specifically for game development".

Actually, this game is far borader with far more flexibilty and potential than LBP ever could be. Assuming they pull it all off and stuff.
I also hate to break your awesome LBP rush, but the concept of LBP has existed since the very early '90s starting with custom levels for DOOM. LBP is a nearly 20 year-old concept that was simplified beyond belief (what isn't these days....) and brought to consoles.
@afree_account
Nice catch.

What's the big deal? I like the entire visual style of LBP. This game to me doesn't look like it can touch LBP. I wont make my final decision till I see more though.

The idea of trophies is universal - a veriation of trophies exists in the PS2 R&C games, there you have skill points. It's true Sony added it after MS, but they didn't copy anything - it's too universal to be copied.

Sure, because game oriented programming languages (accompanied by GUIs to make things even easier in more recent products) are not universal at all... except for Game Maker, M.U.G.E.N, Adventure Game Studio, The Games Factory, Klik and Play, the RPG maker family, Blitz BASIC, AMOS basic and STOS basic. Nope this is not an universal idea at all and was all invented by Sony and stolen by Microsoft
.
And that is not including the myriads of PC games with level editors, which is what LBP is closer to (though LBP's level editor is really spiffy, powerful and has a cool interface).
@Shadowblind: to my current knowledge some of the first game creators were on the Atari ST (STOS) in the second half of the 80's but I wouldn't be surprised if there were even older ones on other platforms.

nice, is easy ,cool, funny ,litter ,white and sexy,,,like me ... ha ha ha ha
Looks more like build your own Viva Pinata if you ask me, certainly MS is following Sony's build your own world lead.
the only thing i wonder is if its too much. lbp makes sense because u can make something that works in a very small space. 2d can do that. the resources for 2d for both playing and creating are much smaller relative to both play time and creation time.
that work to make it in 3d is then transferred to the user in boku, which potentially keeps it from being accessible.
