I've found a few of the bosses a real pain.

Gattuso was a bitch for me as well. Took 3 tries. But then again, I never played Abyss and had yet to master the 360 degree free run.

I also had trouble with Zagi, the first and second time. He was extremely quick and it was frustrating, but I've improved since fighting him and he's not as challenging as before.

Another boss was that bat one. My issue was just the insane batshit rape from the magic spells that freeze locked you. On top of that, I had problems hitting them in the air with Yuri.

A lot of my complaints of the combat are how fast some of the bosses are and how DARK the screen can get with certain situations during the fight. It's SOO fucking hard to see where you are and before you know it, you're getting triple creamed for over 1k damage and you had NO idea you were there.

Other than that,

Sounds pretty good.

Sounds good.
By the way the bleach manga is better than the anime the anime is full of fillers like the bount arc I don't really enjoy the anime I prefer reading the manga.

Also, if you're talking about the Wolf boss, he kicked my ass all around, I had to power level, lol, didn't adjust difficulty for him, but shoulda.

Yeah, it's the wolf boss.  The trick I found was to free run around to dodge his attacks, but even then I barely pulled through.  I only tried it on easy afterword, and found I could kill him with no deaths and most of my MP left on all characters.

Also Bleach sucks all the way through IMO.  If you want a good mainstream anime watch the 2 seasons of Geass.

Thing is, most bosses have an inherant weakness that you can exploit to beat.

In the case of Gatsuo, all you need to do is free roam, and use a long-distance attack on the flowers (billybally leaves) at the perimiter of the arena. They will stun him, allowing you to chain together 2-3 combos. I had the hardest time fighting him in the demo (which allows you to play through Ehmead Hill), until I realized you could do that. There's an achievement involved in that.<p>

In all actuality, most bosses have those kinds of weaknesses: There's usually something your able to exploit to beat them rather easy. In Gatsuo's case, I was indeed over-leveled possibly, because I found the combat system just too fun to not kill everything in my way (as well as build up tons of items for my uber-weapons).

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Hmm, yeah, that adjusting difficulty is awesome. On the 2nd playthrough you unlock "Unknown" which is just unbelievable.

Anyway, if this was a James Bond movie, you wouldn't even be to the opening credits yet....just wait, lol. I told you it was the best Tales game, and I wasn't kidding. You're gonna like it, at the very least. Doesn't even get good until the story starts. The first 20 or so hours are all character development, like the first season of Bleach. It might seem a little slow paced, but that's directly attributed to its anime-like design, which is followed as closely as I've seen in this game.

Also, yes, by the end of the game, you'll have that opening theme song as your ringtone, lol!

So true. I started playing again and even with the 10x experience regular enemies were unbelievably difficult.

Ah yes the Wolf Boss, he gave me problems until I realized his weakness. I saw the plants on the battle field and remembered what happened to Karol and the light bulb went off heh.

Haha, something very similar happened to me when I played TotA.
I was humming "Karma" for a few weeks.
Even now I have "Karma" Instrumentals(my favorite), "Karma" Japanese version and "Meaning of Birth" on my Iphone.
3 versions of the same song from TotA. Great song.

Sounds good, this will be the first game with my 360 (if it's released in Europe that is).

Zen: are you saying it's better than Symphonia? I absolutely loved that game.

Symphonia doesn't hold a candle to Vesperia, BengaBenga.

Don't say that. That's like kicking Soriku's soul in the balls repeatedly.
