Forums - Sony - What's up with Playstation Home?

JaggedSac said:
NXE is just more functionality added to Live's APIs and a redesigned UI.

Home is a 3D social networking effort. Aka Second Life.

They are not comparable.

But it's so much more than that. It isn't the best thing ever, but it is much more than just a Second Life clone.

That's awesome bro! I've played the LittleBigPlanet Beta and enjoyed it myself. I'm currently playing GT5: Prologue and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Shortly after I beat those, I will grab LittleBigPlanet and play it to death...lol

I wasn't a fan to much of the original Resistance and I haven't really read any info about R2 yet. So this game is mum right now. I will look into it at a later date.

Okami looks awesome and I do have a steady hand. I'm playing Super Mario Galaxy now and I tend to get all those yummy things all at once with the Wii-mote pretty good...hehe

So the Wii version wouldn't be a problem. I'm going to have to add you on PSN, when I get the chance. Is that cool?

I'm really looking forward to Home though. I'm really not into simulation like that. But being about to chat and chill with your friends in a virtual world seems pretty neat!

it will takes longer than it predicted,

look at server problem at socomm, LBP, and who knows when killzone launched

i think sony have to built the better server infrastructure 1st, before going live with services live home.

i think basically home already >60% done, but they have more problem on infrastructure thing.

I'm in the beta. It is really cool, but it does need some tweaking, and additional content.
