Every 4 or 5 clicks on VGChartz today, I'm getting a warning screen to pop up.  The only thing I can think of is that VGChartz is using new ads that are deemed malicious, possibly, since today is the first day I've ever gotten these, and I'm getting them a lot.

Man, when I'm on my Wii, there are ads that take up the whole front page. When I'm on my laptop, there are ads that I can't close or scroll away from. It's pretty annoying!

One thread is doing that for me.

I get that on occasion also.

vgchartz is the most lax site I know of when it comes to using scummy advertising links and ads. there are sooooo many background connections to other http sites its silly

It's pretty good on a windows machine but my mac, wii, and etc. browsers can't handle the vgchartz ad style sometimes.

I'm going to bump this in hopes a moderator will see it. They should be able to trace that IP back and see where the problem comes from..and it could possibly be nothing really worth worrying about, but since I browse this site a lot from work and I'd rather not risk work PC's over this. Nor would I like to stop visiting the site, so hopefully someone knows something=/

Maybe my anti-virus soft is crap, but I've had more severe problems on the site -- where some ad or another tries to load but takes forever and essentially freezes my comp. It's only started to happen over the last week and a half or so (and only here at VGChartz), but it's led me to restart my computer 4 or 5 times.

i notified benga yesterday about a downloader virus that tried to download itself onto my university computer. A big message popped up saying "virus deleted" in dos window.
