but it still doesn't show how S-man can be portrayed as so weak compared to even the post-infinite earth S-man. In this game he's like a regular joe with nothing going for him except heat rays and super breath.

yeah he can get hurt by magic, but he still can't get hurt by physical objects such as ice, fire, bullets, punches, etc. in this game, he can. and he can even be mutilated by them. no freaking way!

even if I accept Shang Tsung's mastery of magic hurting S-man, there's no mutilating him by Sonya Blade's kicks!

so even a limited S-man is still more powerful than anything the mk universe can think of.

I'm much more apalled by what has been done to the MK universe not the DC universe. By aiming for a Teen rating they ruined everything that I loved about the previous games (almost all of them, more recent ones not so much). The problem is especially evident in the Fatalities, they are just not the same without even a drop of blood here and there.

yes i'm aware of the movements in the dc story. what i'm fighting against here is the portrayal of superman without any of his tools that he's supposed to have, regardless of being limited by the current universe he's in.

yeah, in the modern cartoon, superman can get stunned, hurt, and whatnot from strong attacks. but he can't get mutilated. he can't get thrown around by mere humans. and he's still the most powerful of all.

even a limited superman is 1000x more powerful than any mk character.

Oh come on, there could be any number of reasons that it'd be feasible to have Superman in the game. Any stage that they are not on Earth is easy to explain, No yellow sun. And there is a Hell stage right? I'm quite sure, one Superman uses his reserves of power, the yellow sun of Earth will not save him in Hell.

none of those are fair. but i dont like MK anymore ever since mk 2 all has become a joke.

Why can't one merely enjoy the game and not care about the rules set forth in their respective universes?

marvel vs. capcom is ok. there are no such characters such as S-man that have every power in the book.

juggernaut is far from invulnerable. his biggest weakness is he's an idiot, not to mention he's extremely slow.

wolverine and akuma is a great match. lots of people underestimate wolverine, but really he's potentially immortal.

cyclops and ryu is extremely balanced. i don't see why it can be seen as unfair.

the problem with mk vs. dc is that S-man is way above and beyond everyone else. i doubt any of the characters possess kryptonite.

I don't know, I mean, It's not as if Sub Zero or Scorpian are even human. They are super human themselves. How many humans do you know that can shoot harpoons from their palms or breath fire or freeze their surroundings?

MK is a make believe magical world just as superman's and anything goes here. Yes, the god's of the MK Universe can strip superman of whatever they wish as superman is fighting on their territory.

You have to remember, just as you get various different Comic versions of Superman, the same can be applied to this, where you get several variations, this will be just another variation of superman.

I am far more of a Marvel fan then a MK fan (never really liked the MK games since they were based on the novelty of fatalities and the game's playability never quiet lived up to the likes of SF or Tekken or even Eternal Champions) and saying this, I would prefer Superman be included in this then to be left out.

Since we are arguing the fact that Superman cannot be defeated in the MK universe, you also have to realize, Superman would never fight a battle like this in the first place. He would go straight to the root of the problem and and blow up all the portals and then imprison those who are in charge of this horrific tournament.

1) Shang Tsung could eat superman's soul
2) Raiden could electrocute him and hold him prisoner in an electro field also, raiden is an elder god.
3) Sindel could blow his ear drums with her super sonic pitch screams
4) Quan Chi is the greatest sorcerer in the Netherelm and magic being one of the weaknesses of Sman, would make him very vulnerable to Quan Chi.
5) Elder Sub- Zero now turned wraith; one of the fallen elder gods as well as being super strong and possesing all kinds of powers.
6) Shinnock; the ruler of the Neatherrealm as well as one of the fallen gods. Being Immortal, he cannot be killed and he too is a very powerful sorcerer.
7) Shao Kahn; emperor of the outerworld and with god like strength and abilities.
8) Scorpion; a reverent- which means he cannot be killed until his soul rests in piece. Until then he would be immortal.
9) sareena; a demon warrior with super human powers. Since she doesn't use her own demon form and as long as she keeps doing this, she cannot be defeated.
10) Blaze; an elemental creature with super human powers and the ability to control his element (fire).

there are plenty more characters in the Mk universe that could equal if not surpass superman's powers and strength.
