What announcement is he talking about that sealed the deal?

Our folks have talked to the Konami folks, and until the announcement was out from our side, I think they were being a little bit cagey. All sony has to do is make a contract with konami, and they cant release it on nay other console and if the contract is broken sony can sue. why doesnt sony just buy konami?

I hope you were being sarcastic. There was a Gamecube in a dungeon of Tales of Symphonia. A PS2 version was released later on in Japan, the Gamecube was removed. Simple. A PS3 controller in the game is no guarantee that the game will stay exclusive. |
Plus MGS1 had a PS1 in that version, and a GC in the same place in Twin Snakes. So that is not nearly the proof that an actual agreement would be.
Yet it would have been nice if Kojima had just been honest about it up front instead of those dubious analogies.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs
Yeah, the whole SixAxis had me convinced.......a year ago.
I realized they could always change that...change any mention of the Cell, stuff like that...I dunno.
But this seems pretty conclusive...it doesn't surprise me that much...but then again, seeing it on 360 wouldn't surprise me either. Both outcomes have their reasons...it's exclusive because of the agreement...it would have gone to the 360 as well, otherwise, undoubtedly.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release. (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
