Well, unlike the PS3 and PC versions, lol, the 360 version seems to have no problems out of the box. Runs at a very steady clip, and it's really just a pleasure to play. Way less technical issues than Mass Effect or Fable 2 for that matter. The 360 version is excellent.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

I bought the PS3 version as well (LBP was sold out and the 360 version of F3 was as well, and I didn't feel like waiting) and i can honestly say I have had nowhere near the problems you have had.

The only thing you listed that I experienced was when somebody signs in and it freezes, except it only froze for me for 2-3 seconds. I ended up just signing out of my PSN, no real biggie there.

My controller is responsive and I have not had any problems that had me restart my controller.

I don't know this "game stopping bug" that is "periodically within the first 20 minutes of game play". The game has not frozen or crashed on me once.

As for the framerate issues, it has the occasional hiccups but nothing too bad and I expect it in a game of this size. I had my buddy Dan bring over his 360 copy so I could play it and see how big of a difference there was. (in whether or not I should return my PS3 version for credit and get it for 360 when it came in) I found the 360 version had less framerate hiccups, but not by a huge amount and definitely not enough for me to go return the game and start my game over.

I don't know why your experience has been so troublesome, but my time with the game has been extremely fun. The game runs more smoothly then Oblivion ever did. I also imagine there will be a patch at some point. To compare this to the Madden 08 debacle is a little extreme.

EDIT: On the trophies front, that is a blow for those who like that stuff, I personally don't. They're a nice bonus for the 360/PS3, but I don't even try to get any, i just get the ones that I get through my normal play through.

9 hours in. No issues whatsoever (ps3 version)

Hmm, IMO the 360's controller is superior. It looks great on my bigscreen with 360 hooked up to it.

I love the weight and size of the 360 controller, but hate the placement of the analog sticks.  Also, the location of the battery pack is very limiting for people with big hands.

I had a few problems with Fallout 3 on PS3, both of which were solved by a reboot (5 fps on first play) and signing out of PSN (2-3 second delays).  A patch should rectify these issues.

Bethesda's Todd Howard "if install base really mattered, we'd all make board games, because there are a lot of tables."

Feel free to add me ...

Bethesda games are known for their unique bugs, many due to the open nature of their games. Jowood and Piranha Bytes also became infamous for the Gothic series' often major bugs.
Morrowind and Oblivion are teeming with bugs as well so I expected no less from Fallout 3 (which I finished today btw)!

Look, everyone knows Xbox 360's are easier to programme for especially if it's PC to console ports. There are loads of multi format third party games that are inferior on the PS3 so not too surprised. And please type IMO after comments such as PS3 controllers are far superior or the PS3 is superior machine. Otherwise it makes you sound like a self rightous ****

Which developer said coding for the 360 was a joy ?

You just write for a PC and hit a big red button to port !

Until developers start coding solely for the PS3 there is no reason to think that the status quo will change.

Unfortunately due to its late release and high entry price a developer coding for the PS3 alone is limiting his return massively with only 16 million consoles sold.

A game with a Dev budget of 60 million dollars returning 20 dollars per game sold to the developers would need to sell 3 million copies just to break even.

Developers are not in the business of losing money so I foresee more pain for the PS3 in the future.

I could have sooo much fun with this one.

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

that really sucks, i was going to get the game this weekend on the ps3. now i am not so sure.

That's what makes no sense. What is the point of all that power if it cannot function porperly? I hoe this just your PS3 and not just another gimped PS3 port.
