You guys don't get it, for a console that has

- Amazing online
- Great games
- Very Cheap price point
- Good community
- Decent brand name

and the fact MS advertises the console well. It is selling fairly poorly relative to all of these facts. opinions.

They have increased their visibility though, no matter how the price cut pans out.

They have eradicated their backward losses they were suffering in the 3d quarter so far, and kept up with the PS3 (maintaining their lead by doing so).

Many people expected / hoped for a longer sustained raise, but all in all, if they don't, at least they will have had plenty of publicity leading up to the holidays.

Combine the "remember we've had a price drop" with Gears of War, Fallout, Fable, The Last Remnant and massive bundling, and they're a force to be reckoned with.

Lower price + copy of Sony's bundling strategy, although with highly wanted 3d party games (PES - although that seemed to have failed, COD5 - should help a lot) + holiday season coming + big hitters

They're ready for the coming months.

And if you knew "pretty sure" that the PS3 won't slap you in the face with a price cut of their own, then every means to get additional sales ahead of or along with the PS3 is good.

From the recent sales figures, i think the 360 is doing ok but is doing poor when you look at how cheap it actually is.

In the US it starts from $199

In the UK it starts from £99 (Tesco and Sainsbury's)

etc, etc.

If we compare it to the PS3 this week, it outsold it by 20k, which i think is pretty poor.

My point is, why is it selling so badly for it's price point?

Because everyone know this. http://videogames.yahoo.com/events/playback/playback-19/1259454

@ darth: don't be stupid... Fallout is a big hitter for the xbox too...I would've posted that in the PS3 lineup as well.

Nice way to ignore the entire post and just focus on one word that possibly detracts from your own favourite console...

well it was a line where evrything was an exclusive.....then suddenly fallout.

What do you expect people to assum papflesje

Fallout will do nothing for 360 as its on Ps3 at the same time.

We get reminded all the time FF13 will do nothing for PS3 now.....I'm just being realistic....Fallout will not do anything or add any perceived value to the 360....as it isn't a timed exclusive like oblivion.

Fallout is a game they CAN use because of the additional DLC if they please, therefore it is in the list.

It is also a huge game for console owner, no matter which console.

It's one of the biggest games this year, and the xbox can (perhaps should?) use the exclusive part to its advantage.

And I expect every regular visitor of this site to be a gamer, knowing that the game also appears on the PS3.
