You are right I am just making exuses.  I won't buy it because EA is publisher.  However, I wish all the luck for them in catching back up to Blizzard.  I played the crap out of the first C&C and RA1 and loved them a lot.  Westwood had Blizzard number for a few years but Blizzard came back with Stracraft and WC3.  Blizzard has taken over the RTS market and everyone else is in catch up mode.  I agree with you that no matter what the units are as long as the gameplay is solid and the balance is there then the game will be great.

Ah yea the tesla coils were the ultimate for base defense.  I used to build the crap out of them.

Just realized I used the phrase played crap and build crap out of in last two post. I think it is time for me to retire from the forums. Not hating on RA3 at all. I'd like to know how it plays in future though. I wonder if it can stand up to SC2?

that'd be awesome, especially considering it seems like allies and empire of rising sun are both taking out the soviets this time around.. it'd be a perfect thing after the soviets are taken out completely to have a Yuri Expansion
