Regarding the increase for June:

June was a 5 week month for NPD. As such, shouldn't it have seen a 25 percent increase in sales, and not 21? The answer  is yes -- it sold less per week this month than it did last month. Nice trick though!  

Am i the only one that thinks its sad that all the posts yet no one has yet to do the math right ? just ball part figures.

 Yeah, that had already been mentioned by Diomedes: it's about a 10 percent drop in Wii sales, to be specific. I hadn't seen anyone comment on the PS3 yet though, and this was a PS3 thread :p

 It's not like Nintendo wouldn't be spinning if they were in Sony's position. It just so happens that Nintendo is dominating -- so when they say: "Hey, we're dominating," it actually happens to be a true, purely by coincidence. They'd probably figure out a way to say basically the same thing even if this generation had ended up being a re-run of the GC era.
