Forums - Sony - Stream games from PC to PS3?

First of all...this is my first thread:)

A while ago I heard rumors (actually it was more than rumors) that you can stream most PC games from your PC to your PS3 and play through your PS3. Has anyone here tried it, and if so what are your thoughts? I read somewhere that you download a program to your PC and then you can play from 480p and up to 2060p(I think) on your TV (good luck with the last one.))

I figure this would be great if you have games installed on your PC that you want to enjoy in your livingroom. And also for enjoying games that are not on the PS3.

Anybode got any experience with this?

Also, the PS3 supports keyboard and mouse if supported in games, but how this work when you stream from your PC, if you want to play Starcraft on your TV for instance?

Appreciate feedback:)

Hook up your PC to a projector and all I can say is WOW. Life sized HL2 was very impressive, even if a bit gimmicky.

I never heard anything about that..and as such, would say it's not true. That's not a definitive answer. I also say that displaying 2060p isn't right because..2060 won't exist, it should be 2160, and I'm pretty sure that resolution looks no better to the human eye than does 1080p..on top of there not being any TV's that support that output..then again, theres a lot that doesn't make sense these days, so a TV displaying what those watching it can't really interpret doesn't sound too far fetched. Plus, I'm sure 2160 resolution might actually be noticeable on larger TV's might be slightly noticeable over 1080 as I've seen 1080 resolution on large TV's (70"+) not always look HD.

Then again, I could be completely wrong too..=P

I've never heard of this.....but it sounds pretty damn cool

@Phrancheyez
Like I said...good look with that resolution.
But apparantly you use a program called streammygame. It's supposed to work too.) The big question is: Why isn't this more commonly known?

Yes you can, you'll found all of the infos here : http://www.streammygame.com/

I think you must install your client in the PS3 linux though, better chek the site yourself ;)

It seems I'm posting a lot in my own thread here. Has really noone got any experience with this? Maybe it doesn't work that well then...
Well, it was worth a shot.
