The PSP sells more than double every other platform combined.

Japan is a strange market.

Some weeks it's so slow it's not even equivalent to 10% of the other markets (EU, NA) then other weeks it can have explosive numbers for hardware or software, like this week.

Does an 80gb LBP Bundle count? Or even the release of the 80GB

This has been known for a decent amount of time and I'm sure a fair bit of people are waitiing it out, rather then buying the current model.

I'm curious to see what type of effect the 80GB will have. PS3 sales in Japan really started to falter when Sony yanked PS2 BC from the PS3. Once the bump from LBP fades, I don't see the 80GB PS3 doing much better than the 40GB to be honest with you.

@ Darc, the 80gb will not crasily increase ps3 numbers, but will indeed put it back at 10k-16k, in oposition to 5k. At the release day of the new sku I expect 20-30k and then a downward trend towards 13k in two or three weeks and no more x360>ps3 till the next Jrpg on x360.
