Well even with its mediocre sales right now (just wait for LBP) it will easily sell 100k this week, so yes, it has effectively reached 16 million.

Well considering the data is a week and a half old, and we know the PS3 has been sellling atleast 120k a week, it's reasonable to assume that it has in reality passed 16 million.

Yes and PS3 should hit 20 million by the end of the year. If it doesn't then it'd be surprising to say the least and disappointing. But I cna't see any scenario that wouldn't allow it right now.
