Forums - Gaming Discussion - Whats your game collection breakdown?

By this i mean what type of game is most common in your collection. Such as Shooters, Racing, RPG, etc.

Well I did mine and it came out to:

Sports Games - 34%

Shooting Games - 30%

Racing/Driving - 15%

Others - 11%

Platformer - 10%

So whats your breakdown? You don't need to get the percent obviously, just a general estimate.

Around the Network

Do you buy sports games because they're cheap, or are you actually a sports game fan? I'm considering getting some cause the price at Gamestop is ridiculous. My percents...

0% Sports Unless they release Blitz and it's better than ever, or Arch Rivals is remade, or the Dodgeball games count as sports

0% Driving Games, why pay money for a bad simulation when you can buy LFS (Live for Speed) or play the demo for free and shell out a small 80 bucks for a force feedback wheel. LFS has owned every driving game ever existing and existed. Unless Burnout counts as a driving game than I guess my percent's at 5%

25% Shooter

40% RPG I love my RPGs what can I say be it a western or JRPG I find both of them to be enjoyable in different ways

25% Platformer

10% Others I'm guessing this is for games like Patapon, or Katamari, or Animal Crossing.

I did a percentage breakdown. The results were rather interesting. I'd say I play a lot more RPGs than I buy.

Adventure 28%
Action
17%

Platform

17%
RPG
11%
Strategy / Simulation
9%
Puzzle
5%
Sport / Racing
5%
Compilation
3%
Education / Health
3%
Music
1%
Fighting
1%

Right now are something like this (on Wii):
40% Shooters (if you count link crossbow training)
15% Plataformers
15% Action/Adventure
8% Sports (Wii sports :P)
8% Fighters (Brawl)
14% Others

I am only going to count PS3 games here because there are too many others.

1 RPG
2 Action Adventure
4 Shooters
1 Fighting
1 Platformer

All out of 9.

EDIT: But wait. Playfire does this for me :D

So, counting PS3, PS2, PS and PC games:

Action: 31.71%

Action Adventure: 26.83%

RPG: 12.20%

Shooter: 9.76%

Strategy: 7.32%

Sports: 7.32%

Others: 4.88%

That's not right...
