the adds are due to the very bad sales for 360 in japan ..NOT because its doing good , on the contrary the slight increase in sales is because of those ads .

I will agree with this. It's very clear that MS spends tons of money on shelf space and advertising in Japan. Even if MS can get to PS3 / GC sales levels (a respectably losing console in Japan vs. a complete corpse), which is very possible, they may be happy that they got their "foot" in the door and that it's much better than where they were. However, I doubt they will be seeing any profits in this country anytime soon with all the jRPG projects and marketing.
OT: Yeah, Yodobashi Akiba is pretty much the most well-known electronics store for all of Japan, so publicity is not so good.
