I actually have Golden Axe BR and its actually quite good. Its a tough game that rewards mastery with immense satisfaction. Very oldschool. With that said I totally agree with PLAY magazine's review (though a 9 is a bit high, an 8 would be sufficient, though I suspect that they were trying to make a statement) and their article bashing reviewers who hate hard games. .

And yes I'm well aware of the score given to SNG. But when a man is right, what happened before does not matter, he's still right.
 

Also why do you fail to mention Sega Europe? Condemned, Viking, and the Club?

BTW Total War Empires will be excellent.

This was likely made by the same team that normally handles their Sakura Taisen franchise. That's the only excuse I can think of for why this is so awesome and the rest of their offerings are so... mixed.

I think Mario and Sonic is the sole reason we are seeing sega make better games again. They had been broke ever since the dreamcast days... they finally have a financial mega success under their belt to give themselves some working capital.
