well if u add 100k to the sales per lasdt 5 months of this year were talking only 500k total for the rest of the year. so 4 mil maybe for the ps3 but 5 or even 6 is a stretch. and for the one saying a price cut to 399?? um not gonna happen it took them 8 months to initiate a "closeout" price cut to issue a new sku at the 599 price so dont count on the ps3 being 399 until late next year if that. by then it would be too late anyways. and if they do drop it to 399 sony would take trilion dollar losses instead of milions. even sony couldnt survive that.

If we talk about recent monthly averages the PS3 has been selling at (roughly) 250,000 units per month worldwide; if sales were to continue at this rate the PS3 would be near 5.5 Million at the end of 2007. That of course doesn't take into consideration that Santa is the most expensive coke whore in the world ...

From mid-November to Christmas Eve the entire world becomes shopping crazy and the concept of budgets or living within their means; in this 6 weeks parents feel so inadequate that they will buy little jimmy a $500 piece of electronics simply because he asked for it. Certainly, the $500 price tag will limit the sales of the PS3 but that means that only 1.5 Million systems will be sold in 6 weeks.

Let me set this straight. The PS3 has sold 3.78 million units in approximately 8 months. Continuing at sales trends, it should sell 6,142,500 units by Christmas time. With Christmas boosts, it could hit 6.5 mil to 7 mil easy.

You do have one thing right, his predictions are ridiculous though.

 They are only unrealistic if the PS3 stays at $599 if it goes down to around $399-$450 it has a better chance and seeing that Europe love the PS3 and MUCH MCUH better games are coming out and the Wii will be stunted by low stock and the X360 will be tarnished when the RROD goes to court or it gets to the press and is reported in the main Newspapers and not just the internet which it already has been over here in the UK but only in one paper and it was a very small article and MS will have to deal with low stock from Halo3 probably selling through the roof and X360's going with them then the only choice will be PS3 and even more will buy it than would of.

Ok Christmas sales break down like this for PS3:

NA:1.5million to 2million during Holiday season.

Europe:1.5million to 2million

Japan:0.5million to 1million

Others:0.5million to 1million

That means in the Holidays alone it will sell at least 4million units that IS REALISTIC!!!
