It is the Dark Side of the Moon of PC games. The game is still in the Top 20 in Sept NDP. It is still on the shelves of every store I go to. Even my Walmart which only has like 15 PC games.

Diablo 2 is the closest thing, and it has been out 9 years... but Starcraft has been out for what, 11 years. Amazing. I still remember when it came out, I was in like Jr High or Maybe early HS.......

Think about it... Starcraft came out within 6 months of when GOLDENEYE did.... And Goldeye is like a museum piece now.

WoW might still be going strong after 10 years as well.

the starcraft battle chest still costs 50-60$ in korea, it's ridiculous.

 Maybe, SC 2 is not out yet. If it turns out to be revolutionary like SC was it might, especially now the graphics race is slowing a bit.

Wow might because people will still be playing it. But will new gamers still be joining it? I think MMO games are going to get so much better in the next few years that it will be dated quicker than SC was. Think about it, WoW still has to last 6-7 more years to equal what SC is now... I think SC has a year or 2 left. I am giving it 6 months once SC2 comes out.

A truly classic game. Shame that Blizzard isn't taking the same design approach with Starcraft 2.

Although Starcraft 2 will be enormously big, it won't be as big as the original I think.

Just like what happened to Half Life in sales... No. 2 sold really well! But not as good as No. 1... And I think the same will happen here. And yes, Starcraft 2 will be praised by critics... Blizzard has yet to screw a game!
