huh i winnnnn,,,,
the difference between PS3 and 360 is about 100,000 not 200,000

Shouldn't North America be +15% or so of NPD? I was under the impression that Canada was about 10% of the US market, and Mexico about 5%.

Madden 09 X360 240,000

200,000

-40,000

Your +/- in the software aren't correct.

In comparing NPD to VGC (assuming that NPD was/is right):

Big Winners (VGC was great on):

PS3
PSP
WiiFit
Mercs 2 X360

Big Losers:
Wii
DS
Star Wars: TFU
MKWii

Ultimately, VGC loses out yet again versus casual titles that are hard to track sales trends for.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Unfortunately casual and some mainstream games are very complicated when it comes to trends while core games are very easy.  I have a general idea of how they'll sell but their are just too many trends to suggest what each will go on.

It depends on the platform. The Wii does pretty well outside of the US for a number of reasons. Other platforms may have lower percentages due to the fact they weren't released in certain countries, their price points are too high or lack of interest perhaps due to piracy.

I'm pretty upset we overtracked the 360, i was hoping we had undertracked the system. The 360 had massive deals going on at BestBuy/Future Shop when the price was cut. You had a $200 or $300 system with two new/great games, if the 360 could not sell great with these kind of deals then it has some problems.
