The best selling Sony franchises in NA - SOCOM, God of War, Gran Turismo, are nowhere to be found. IMO, the HD war in America was finished before it started - Sony had too little support for its own system. They probably couldn't afford it due to the system's outrageous costs.. Thanks to the slow start, the 360 will never let the PS3 see the light in NA. It has picked up far too much momentum, and most people will not buy both HD consoles, especially now that the economy is looking bad. I just wonder how much worse it may have been if more games (FF13) were announced multiplatform earlier. |

Why is the PS3 so popular in Europe?
People in the USA probably research a bit more than the rest of the world.
Mostly because of Xbox Live and how its promote it. I mean when you look at alomst every film now, actors are either playing the wii or the 360. Besides, the 360 came out months before the ps3 and the wii, so they have the advantage and thats why they are so loved here in the U.S. Oh yeah, lets not forget about the large amount of fanboys in the us.

"home made" - False, who ever thinks the 360 is made in the U.S. is probably dumb enough to think Sony is an american company... unless you're trying to say people are buying 360's because its a microsoft product... which would be a pretty dumb statement (no really, just say it out loud and realize how dumb that sounds)
"360 cheaper" - True. A gaming console at $199 & $299 is cheaper then $399.. not sure what kind of trained eye can't figure that out
"Recession" - False, the 360 has been outselling the PS3 in NA even when times where good, recession is affecting both consoles

That's why I bought it... its the same reason why everyone else buys a 360. Can PS3 users say that? Did they really buy the console for the games? or did they buy it because its a Sony product, or because its a Blu Ray player?

The games. I want 11 PS3 games and 6-7 360 games. It's safe to say that its because of the games.
