Has anyone any idee of the sales of Wipeout HD ?

When i connect online, there are about 140 000 user accounts. But i don't know if it's just for France (i am french), Europe, or World.

VGchartz can't track games sold on the PSN network however I might be able to find the figures some where in the SDF database.

You can get 'World Wide' for times and stuff, I was 13th once, I haven't checked any for ages though but I was unsure how many there were in total as as far as I can see you are unable to navigate the list like you are with Super StarDust HD.

I'm guessing that 140,000 will be the amount of users currently on the servers or registered to the servers and those servers would be european based.

But 140 000 accounts for America + Europe is very low for a fantastic game which cost only 20$.

well wipout has sold well, the thing is about these online only dl titles, is that they are always there to be purchased, theres no packaging and publishing involved, ie they just keep ticking over.

i might have a look into wipeout as its supposed to be a good game

It is an incredible game, and I really hope it has sold well, and I do wish that Sony would publish sales of online games, because there is no other accurate way of doing so

That should be 140k worldwide accounts then.
You see both american and european players from the US.
And player don't have to register online to be listed, only to do any race with their PS3 plugged to the network and their time will be automatically updated online...

140k is actually very decent for a digital only title costing 20$, at least if you compare with the top selling XBLA titles...

Well, WipeoutHD is basically a HD version with Wipeout Pure and Pulse assets. It's a niche genre and well known as a game with very high learning curve. 140k is pretty decent based on those facts, but WipeoutHD sales WOULD be more if it weren't for all the game trading that goes on PSN these days... so in theory, it's probably even less than 140k....

Hopefully, it'll have good legs. For $20, this is the most valuable game on PSN.

So Have you got some sales figures ?

I havent gone online with it.. Im probably not the only one. So it's probably sold way more.
