@LOL MATURE: Because they are getting released on PS3, Sony should be making announcements for their Japanese audience. I'm not saying there's no games left to be released in Japan... GT5, Yakuza 3, FFXIII, TLR, FFVXIII, Gundam Musou 2 (or was it Mosou Orochi 2?), WKS, LBP, Tekken 6, RE5, SF4, PES 09, Naruto UNS, GTA4 are all games that will be big in Japan (Will sell between 200k and 1 million), but are games that have been announced for a very long time already. What I'm saying is that Sony showed very little of these games and didn't announce anything big or new for Japan as of late and Japanese gamers may start to lose interest and get impatient about the delays. Those 2 new games are more western oriented than anything.

I think people jump to conclusions way too early.

I also think second place really isn't worth fighting for.

No, I still think they have stuff in the bag, and the PS3 does have a fantastic games line-up for the end of this year and next year

 This is a really stupid question. Sony is a multi-billion dollar corporations that sells other products and forms of entertainment besides videogames (besides for the fact that gaming industry saved their asses). This gen isn't bringing too much luck to Sony. All they can try to do is pump out good 1st and 2nd party games. They have the PS4 being worked on as we speak. Someone has to be in 3rd place sometime. Nintendo was in 3rd place last gen and when they went back to the drawing board they came up with a system that appeals to the masses. Now look at them they are in first. Sony fans have such a blind faith in the infallibility of Sony, when they are just as human as you and me. The sad part that most fans don't realize is that they are a monopoly hungry corporation just like Microsoft and the only thing standing in their way really is Microsoft. Sony fanboys got a sense of safety while watching Sony shovel away games from Nintendo and create an army of games and stay strong for two generations consecutively.
