Again the Wii loses marketshare.

Oops I mean "Again with the supply problems for the Wii".

Seriously though... it should be obvious that the HD consoles would eventually begin to reclaim marketshare from the Wii. HDTV  (and Blu-Ray) ownership is going up, not down.

Edit: I'm talking American marketshare here.

The PS2 Batman bundle literally flies off the shelves.  I kid you not.

Sooo the XBOX360 is gaining moment and sales because of the Blu Ray???

Soooo... where did I mention that I was only talking about the 360 again?  Pretty sure the 360 isn't the only HD console.

Because the PS3 is not doing phenominal this week, doesn't mean I should exclude Blu-Ray from my statement.

I think you mean "glides"; he's not Superman.

Okami

To lavish praise upon this title, the assumption of a common plateau between player and game must be made.  I won't open my unworthy mouth.

LOL. PS3 Double the price but doesn't get outsold by Double (360). 360 Half the price, Not Double The Sales tho ;)

Easy Blazinhead, your bias is showing.

Anywho, it's that time again folks!

Handheld Sales: 493,377
Console Sales: 577,619

DS: 72 %
PSP: 28 %

Wii: 48 %
360: 30 %
PS3: 22 %

Uh...the Wii didn't lose market share this week.

In terms of weekly sales in the Americas, the trend is a definate negative one, not positive.  The Wii was positioned to have much more than the 40% marketshare its currently destined for in America, just a couple months back.

I apologize for the confusion.  Obviously you are correct, in terms of both WW and American marketshare.  I was talking about the ongoing weekly trend, and I used the wrong terms.  Its going downhill in terms of "marketshare potential" or "marketshare delta" or somesuch, and mostly this appears to be an American-only trend.
