Steve Downie gets suspended again, this time for slashing an official. This is the 2nd big suspension he's got. I think he should have the book thrown at him........there's no excuse for doing a thing like that, and no room for players in the NHL like him.

Pfft.......the 8-0 nothing hammering at the hands of the lowly Nashville Predators says otherwise......

As does the 8-2 manhandling today at the hands of the Blue Jackets.

Flyers reach 80 points, gotta try to catch NJ.

Do they have any games left against NJ? If they don't, then it's going to be rather difficult (but not impossible).

not sure, I know they have a game in hand on the Devils, but Im not sure if they play again.

Sweet, Canucks beat the Sharks 3-1. The first 10 minutes SJ looked horrible, but rebounded and played very well the last 50 minutes. I guess the Canucks were more jacked to play the Sharks, than the reverse.

Luongo was brilliant throughout the game. I suppose the Shark's injuries played a role, but every team goes through them. I hope Blake isn't hurt very badly, hopefully just a bruise or something. Blake out for any extended period of time would not bode very well for SJ, since, IMO, that D is their weakest (probably only weak) point.

Inuries certainly haven't helped my team as of late but there's more too it than that, we've just been playing badly (taking too many penatlies, pp has been stagnant, not enough shots on goal, etc... list goes on and on). Take this past Thursday's game against the Wild. Up 3-0 only to choke & end up losing.

Goodbye Guy, hello Gainey! Habs make a coaching change.......can they pull off a Lou Lamoriello, or is this the biggest mistake they could make?

Gary Roberts announces his retirement. I always liked his hard work, and grittiness.
