Luke Schenn? Yeah, he's doing great for an 18 year old defenseman.
yeah, Luke scheen, and im a leafs fan... not very impressed with their team but what can you expect they dont really have anyone that you can call that top 6 forward mabey the past blake or the current stajan or the Semi Past antripov, But i am very impressed of the inexperienced Luke Scheen
Well, the team is rebuilding. There's no way to deny that. And it's about time. In the past, money managed to stave off this rebuilding. Now with the cap, and some bad decisions (no movement clauses for everyone, Jeff Finger for 14 million/4 years!), it's come back to bite them. And they still have some trading to do. They can still trade away Kaberle and Kubina (maybe Blake), and get some young players/picks, and go into a full rebuild. And with Burkie, I'm sure they'll be competitive within 2 seasons.
Well I had previously predicted that I thought PIT would win the cup but after today I think it's over for them.
There now in 4th place in their division after only winning 4/10 games in the EASIEST part of their schedule this year.
Unless they are really playing on their heels and can kick it into overdrive in the second half of the season their Division Rivals wont give them a chance.
Damn man, bieng a fan of this team can hurt. Once again they have the top two scorers in the league, and they still can't dominate. It makes me sick.

Pit could win the EC Finals, but they are not going to win the Stanley Cup.

Sort of off topic I suppose, but it sort of relates to the NHL, so I'll ask it here. Is anyone else watching the World Juniors? Is started today with the US winning 8-2 over Germany, and Russia winning 4-1 vs. Latvia. There's 3 things I'm focusing on:
1) Canada going for 5 Gold's in a row
2) Tavares vs. Hedman
3) Cody Hodgson (Canucks 1st round pick last year)
Canada's about to start their game against the Czech Republic now.
Wow, 8-1 rout by Canada. That was excellent to watch........the Oilers and Canucks game, not as much (until the third period......what a hit by Mason Raymond on Ladislav Smid!).
