Will this move by Sony be enough to take commanding lead over 360 in weekly basis?

How will it effect the sales of 360?

This is not a pricee-cut, really, but it kinda is - definitely a good move by Sony.

I think PS3 will take over 2nd place again, but by how much?  maybe 5-10k

In japan, bundled with LBP, at the same price "might" have an affect on sales.

Uhhhh, I'm confused? Didnt Sony already do this, or is this specific to pricing in the Japan region that I am not familiar with? If so, please explain.

I don't know if Japanese are more gullible then people in NA but it didn't do much in NA. Primarily because taht is teh 40 GB model (no backwards compatibility) with a bigger hard drive.
Thats the first thing I asked when I heard this was coming out...to know taht all ps3s don't support ps2 games anymore is dishartening. Hopefully there will still be few MGS4 used bundles when I decide to get one again.
