Beside having their hands full with lots of other games? a couple of months ago they stated that there will be no remake of FF7 anythime soon.

I can't find it... I probably didn't bookmark the thread/article. The only thing I found was that the FF7 tech demo was intended to show off the power of the PS3, but doesn't mean that they will actually remake the game.
