Given that treehouse did a fantastic job on the gamecube game, and the secrecy surrounding the AC announcement leading up to E3, I'm still going to more than anything else believe this is an AC translation.

Here's another fact. NOA have been known to just sit on already translated games without announcing release dates. ASH being one of them, Disaster being another (though admittedly the reasons for tha not being released in America could be for other reasons).

So I'll say it again, I just don't see how you're coming to the conclusion that this new employee (from america) has been working on the new zelda for the best part of this year, but refuse to believe that this could possibly be a translation of a game (he works for a translating division in america, remember?) that everyone wants.

I haven't come to the conclusion that he's working on Zelda. I just stated that in my LAST POST.

Now that you mention it, yeah, NoA have been sitting on translated games at times. I didn't take that into consideration. I still highly doubt it is Mother 3, but it is definitely not impossible due to this. But "everyone wants"? You're joking, right? Mother has a vocal fanbase. A very, very, vocal fanbase. But it is not by any means very big.

Again I stand by my thoughts that it is highly likely a game not announced, which would rules out Zelda (a game that was confirmed to be in the works soon after TP hit stores) Mario, Pikmin 3, AC, Punch Out, Fatal Frame 4, Disaster, and Sin and Punishment.

Mother 3 is highly unlikely as it's a GBA game and DSi just dropped the GBA slot =P I think Nintendo has put that behind them (just go play the fan translation man) what it could be is Mother 4 if anything or an VC translation of Mother 1 if it was anything from that series.

Like I've said it's likely a popular series from the old days that hasn't seen the light of day in a while or a totally new IP that looks really awesome. (Ice Climbers Wii anyone???)

There's no point in talking in circles about it. If NOA were in any way up to snuff, I would've been absolutely wrong, because it would've been out already, or it would definately not be coming out ever. But if the Mother fanbase is so minute, that just makes it all the more impressive how they're owning the entire internet. Everywhere except VGC seem to think that there is atleast a remote chance of it being a translation of Mother 3.

vdoesntforgive, no, not really. You should know, especially seeing as how you visit VGChartz, of so-called "internet hits". Remember No More Heroes? Zack & Wiki? No, it's not very impressive that it's "owning up the internet", because it's happened oh so many times before. The only reason Mother 3 is still an issue is because it was, in fact, not released. If it were released stateside and possibly in EU as well back then, you'd hear about it as much as you hear about, say, No More Heroes now. Or, rather, as much as you'd hear about No More Heroes in about a year.
