I had a strange Pokemon Gold/Silver remake daydream in which it was remade for the DSi. I kinda got upset.. but figured I would have bought it anyway. How would you feel if this actually happened.

Gold and Silver did get remade--it's called Crystal/Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald/FireRed/LeafGreen/Diamond/Pearl. There's another one coming out called Platinum.

I'll give you Crystal..
There are BIG differences in the 3rd and 4th gen games. Metagame players know this. >:(

Don't be an ass. I might have thought you were confused if you just said crystal, but I think you know what he meant.
To OP: Red/Blue were remade on GBA, it stands to reason the Gold/Silver will be remade on DS/DSi. DSi would make more sense since it would get alot of people to buy it ( I would)
I think sparkling gold and sterling silver are logical names.

Yeah... I barely played Diamond metagame, it was crap imo (or may be the same thing and just boring) either way, gold/silver had the best meta game. Crystal is worse becuase the 5-10 hour legendary dog hunt side quest is taken out in favor of automatically giving you suicuinne.

I prefer Dawn Gold and Dusk Silver or Gleaming Gold and Shimmer Silver. This is considering that I think the second pair is stupid.

Yeah, I love the Pokemon games, I was just poking fun at the fact that they really don't change dramatically between entries. Like, I'd personally like one that used 3D models instead of sprites for the Pokemon, and had a decent story besides 'some kid wants to be a master, and beat these bad guys while he's at it'.

Even though I think Pokemon Colleseum and XD: Gale of Darkness were gaudy.. I like the change in the formula.
On topic, If they are released for the DSi.. I'd buy one. I'll have my DS lite around though.

One of the reasons Gold/Silver were my favorite games in the series was that Legendary 3 actually felt rare, instead of being stationary in the deep part of caverns and such. Also, gotta love Detect, Protect, Baton Pass, Rain Dance, Sunny Day, Endure/Reversal, etc.

See, my daydreams tend to involve a house full of sorority girls, a lifetime's supply of carnitas, or shooting myself in the head with a .50 magnum.
The latter primarily during Evidence or Income Taxation lecture, but occassionaly when watching C-Span as well.
