Peter moore, was the main guy at microsoft other than bill gates and is now gone that sucks.

Maybe its just me but I would find it quite funny if Peter Moore joined Nintendo's new marketing division ... and a bit afraid at the same time.

The fact of the matter is Peter Moore did a fairly decent job with what he was given; the Dreamcast was doomed mainly because Sega alienated most potential customers and developers years before Peter Moore joined Sega, and the XBox (and XBox 360) were never designed to be mass market devices.

Peter Moore was one of the few faces from Microsoft I enjoyed, he wasn't ugly enough to be scary (Bill Gates), and he wasn't, well, err.... he wasn't Steve Ballmer.

Damn, that's too bad. I liked Moore.

I'm curious to know what Mattrick is all about. He's a former EA guy and that frightens me. I really, really, REALLY dislike EA.

It worries me a bit aswell. Mattrick was a high up in EA at a time when they were void of creativity and bleeding money. Could be worse tho, Ken is still looking for anew job .

I pray it was 85-95 in the golden years of EA.

he was the one who thought that the Dreamcast should enter the market at the time it did. If he woould have told Sega to wait then the Dreamcast might have faired a bit better against the PS2.

 

Peter Moore was the reason why the Dreamcast launch was the most successful ever up until that point.

He had very little impact on when the DC launched, outside of the 9/9/99 date. Sega of Japan was really trying to control things and refused to listen to what the NA division wanted.

And this just after he gave a good, decently frank interview to Kotaku that actually earned Xbox some free will.

Then went to market the Madden Franchises. Well, seeing as he's getting 500k/year + potential bonuses, good on him, I'd like that kinda of money, hope he finds the job well, and for entertainment sake, hope the new guy sucks under pressure for microsoft.
