I like kwaad actually...I disagree with most everything he says, but so far he hasn't been in your face about it all, and he seems light hearted most of the time. From what I see he knows how to disagree without being an a$$hole.

Wait a sec... Didn't the PS3 outsel the Wii when it came out in other regions? If so, there's your answer.

Sqrl, didn't the PS3 sell like 550.000 copies when it launched in Europe?
And still the WW PS3's sold didn't outsell the Wii?

Simple math shows that the wii is selling around 1.1 million per month on avg since launch, I have not looked at all the past numbers (i didn't create the thread) so I am not sure about that month but I am sure you could look it up or the OP will know.

PS3 Launched in EU on March 23rd according to Wikipedia...

According to the records on this site it looks like this....

WorldWide Numbers:

Week ending March 4th: Net Change - Wii +116,735
Wii - 196,128
PS3 - 79,393

Week ending March 11th: Net Change - Wii +98,479
Wii - 176,684
PS3 - 78,205

Week ending March 18th: Net Change - Wii +132,899
Wii - 190,415
PS3 - 57,516

Week ending March 25th: Net Change - PS3 +370,219
Wii - 202,706
PS3 - 572,925

Week ending April 1st: Net Change - Wii +17,152
Wii - 165,068
PS3 - 147,916

My Totals show:

Wii - 931,001
PS3 - 935,955

Giving the PS3 4,954 more units in that period then the Wii had sold.

 

Unless I missed something this thread was poorly researched, and we all fell for it =)..except Explosivo.

I think the opening post meant "when will the Wii be outsold, starting from now", which would not include the effects of the PS3's staggered launch.

Anyhow, Not This Generation is my guess.

I don't know if the opening posts meant that but we can assume. So starting from now the Wii will be outsold WW the next time in March 2008 :)
