why dont you all just hate ken kutaragi instead of sony!
Well, it also hurts when Sony just happens to announce the PS2 just days before the Dreamcast launches. What's that? "Oh, they are going to release the Dreamcast? We had no idea they were, I mean then we wouldn't have made an announcement to drain hype away from them. That's very rude, we're sorry!"
The BuShA owns all!
When th4e sales numbers flucturate like this the console with the lower sales always get the bashing, thats the way it is and to be honest sony deserve to be in last even if i dont want them to be.
They need to start trying for once instead of being arrogant pigs whenever the sales of the ps3 go up.

Shouldn't be true the opposite too? Shouldn't dreamcast have stolen hype from PS2? If they had the same qualities and deserved the same success, the simultaneous launch should have damaged both in the same measure. But maybe Dreamcast was more than good enough and Sega ruined itself before, Dreamcast arrived when Sega situation was already compromised and it was too late.

I do, I have always referred to him as Ken "Thief" Kutugari ever since he worked alongside Nintendo on the Famicom-Playstation console.........Sony and Nintendo fell out over naming rights..... sony got exactly what they wanted from working alongside Nintendo........ Gaming software and hardware knowledge
Anywhere you went in the mid 90's you saw playstation adverts (Even if the games were mediocre like crash bandicoot and time crisis) how many adverts for the sega saturn did you see in the 90's despite great games like Fighters megamix, Panzer dragoon and Daytona USA? thats right, hardly any..........
So in conclusion Sega did not kill themselves........ it was sony and their damn financial muscle that dealt the lethal blow and lets face it, if there was no sony then theres no way that the sega saturn would have died as quickly as it did
Advertising sells...... bottom line___________

That's business! If Sega had not put out two consecutive pieces of crap and pissed off all of there dev's, maybe they could have had some revenue to put into marketing. Sony has made mistakes just like every company on the planet. The difference is they do enough things right to correct mistakes. This is what successfull companies do. So I guess you should hate Namco and all the other 3rd party dev's for not supporing SEGA. Dev' don't really care about who they make games for, they care about money. Sega cost a lot of dev's a lot of money by quikly releasing multiple consoles. Why would they want to dump more money into a new console when they haven't recouped any of there money from the last one. Not to mention the dev's probably had little faith in the Dreamcast considering the previous two were junk. Again, Sega killed Sega with poor business decisions. |
And let's not forget that EA completely pulled their support from Sega. That was a BIG one.
Hackers are poor nerds who don't wash.
Sony PR gets on my nerves, not their products. They're just too cocky and arrogant.
I loved the PS2... It was a very nice console with many enjoyable and memorable games. Can't say I liked the PS1, never owned it, but games are great. PSP and PS3 are okay, have some nice features but nothing impressive, imo, and much lack of games.
They should stop saying childish things and focus their attention on their consoles and see what they can do to catch people's attention with it.
Sony sometimes get me angry, but the fact that when they try to play dirty, like in the rootkit scandal, they get immediately busted, reassures me, while the fact that tribunals and antitrusts all over the World can't stop the worst MS behaviours worries me a lot.
