Toys R Us will be having a buy 2 games get 1 free sale from October 12-18. I know that most of the BIG line up comes later than that, but this is where u can scheme the system, its more like a loophole. The two games u buy, can be used as placeholders until the games u want are released, as long as they are not open. Toys R Us has a 45 day return policy as long as u have a receipt and its unopened. The free game cannot be returned tho since it has no value. Anyways, I will prolly do something like this: buy NBA 2k9, NBA Live 09 and get Socom: Confrontation for free. Then go back on Oct 21 and return NBA Live 09 for LBP, and I'm a happy gamer. I will prolly do this twice LOL and get a whole bunch of games I wanted to get but didn't think I could :).
Edit: I forgot to mention, this is USA only, sorry Canada.
PS. The Placeholder strategy is legit, I did this last yr. I got GRAW 2, Skate and got NBA 2k8 for free then went back and returned GRAW 2 and Skate for COD 4 and Ratchet and Clank Future.
PPS. If doing the placeholder strategy, make sure that u ask the cashier if u can return the two games later, so u wont end up with a crappy game that u didn't want. Some ppl are saying that their local Toys R Us has screwed them out of the return. U have been warned
