It can't be done on the PSP in the current form , so stop fooling yourself.
A late port could be happening though.

Dont tell me that you think that tenchu 4 looks good :o Com[pare that game to Chains of Olympus, and tell me then if its not possible ;)

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

Hm may happen, but I agree that it wouldn't be at its current form graphically. I'll  just tell you some things that they would have to tone down from looking at screenshots.

There doesn't seem to be too many polygons for a Wii game, but it does seem like alot for a PSP game. So that doesn't seem too muich of a problem, but could be a big deal if they decide to touch up on it more. The texture quality is going to have to be toned down by a good amount, and  you should just lose most of if not all of the shaders seeing as the PSP doesn't have anywhere near the shader technology of the gamecube, or the Wii, and alot of this doesn't seem possible on the PS2 let alone the psp. Look at the fire and particle effects for instance. I have no doubt there won't be particle effects in the psp version, if it happens, and the fire would be toned down greatly.

In this screen you see alot of lighting effects and again, the psp wouldn't be able to do it. A port is possible no doubt, but it wouldn't be as easy. Also if this game runs at 60fps on the wii(I'm not too sure), it will no doubt run at 30fps on the psp and maybe with some framerate issues.  Oh and please ignore the Jaggies when looking at the screens. Almost every 480p> screens of games have Jaggies. I'm going to post a few more screens for reference.

Here are some screens of the PSP tenchu game.

Oh and people don't start taking this is definite. It is still only a rumor, for now.

@Leo-j The psp is a good amount weaker than the PS2, and is more comparable to the Dreamcast.

@ SC

The Wii game does look tasty.

But I think that God of War: Chains of Olympus looks damn close to that.

But I don't feel like comparing screenshots and whatnot.

I see a significant difference in the Polygon Count, Lighting, and Texture Quality. So its safe to say that Tenchu IV is the more technically impresssive game by a good difference. I prefer GoW:CoOs art style though. Though again I will say that it is quite possible for Tenchu IV to be ported, just not in its current form graphically like others have stated. Actually judging by the differences between the PSP and Wii's hardware, unless they planned a psp version from the start, the port would be hard, and most likely won't use the PSPs capabilities to the max.

chains of olympus is fixed camera (which allows for designing every scene to look as good as possible since what will be on screen is under complete control), makes heavy use of LOD ing , you know as well as I do that 5 pixel Kratos isn't made out of the same number of polygons as full screen kratos, and has very simple and repetetive, albiet well thought out texturing (ever notice how areas are almost always the same color using many of the same textures?),

god of war games are very well designed games, but they are clearly designed to look as good as possible using as little resources as possible, given the zoomed out, fixed camera, clever texturing, and other ways are careful design choices

though porting Tenchu 4 to psp, scale back textures, polygons, and effects and bam their you go it'd work, but it wouldn't look as good but I'd be the same game,

unless it makes truely fantastic use of the wii remote

also @

sc94597, do you know the frame rate of Tenchu 4, as if it is 60 then it looks great

I HAVE A DOUBLE DRAGON CAB IN MY KITCHEN!!!!!!

NOW A PUNISHER CAB!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't quite see the flawless logic from the site that would even have me to believe this to be remotely true.

@Masschamber No I don't know, but I think if they add more shaders, and the game is a constant 60fps then yes it does look pretty impressive. My problem is that the game doesn't look consistent. In some screens it looks nice, some ok, and in others horrible. It's suppose to be releasing this month in Japan right? Hopefully the final product is just as good all around as the best looking screens or maybe even better.
