Actually that was a mistranslation from the magazine according to Japanese speaking people at Neogaf. The only game they were making for SE was Dragon Quest Wars. Now we dont know what they are making anymore, possibly a Wii game for 2011.

Does anyone around here know when Golden Sun DS is going to be released? I'm not looking for an exact date here, just a ballpark estimate as to when it'll be put out there... You know, like such-and-such-season 20XX, something like that...

I don't have any official sources or anything, but my guesstimate would be Q4 2009 for Japan, and then first half 2010 for NA/EU.

Golden Sun DS is quite a while away... My guess is 2010 for Japan

I thought Golden Sun was said to be 2010 during the press conference.

trestres, you should modify that list that it fits radcliffe's description, because he always shows up in these kind of threads and always knows a lot of facts about the teams of Nintendo.

It's not that I don't trust him, but I'd like a link before changing them.

And looking back into all the comments, it looks like my prediction for the amount of games Nintendo was going to release this year is almost perfect.

I predicted 2 GC ports and 1 new game for Q3 and we are getting Metroid Prime Trilogy which consists of 2 Gamecube Ports and a Wii rerelease, and we are also getting WSR which is a new game.

For Q4 I predicted 2 new games and a GC port. Until now, we are getting NSMBWii and Wii Fit+ which are 2 new games (WF+ is more like an expansion, don't know if it should be counted as a new game) and no GC ports.


The year so far actually looks like this:

Q1 - 2 GC ports
Q2 - 1 GC port and 2 new games
Q3 - 2 GC ports and 1 new game
Q4 - 2 new games


Total 2009 - 5 new games, down 3 from the 8 new games we saw in 2008.

My prediction made last year about 2009 being the slowest year ever for any Nintendo console regarding 1st party titles is proven right.

Do you guys think we might see any other game released this year, or will it stand out in history as the slowest year ever concerning Nintendo titles?

I was thinking we'd get one more surprise sprung on us like a Mario Party or similar but now I don't think that will be the case.

Edit: Looking into next year, I can see the following possibility..

• EAD1 - Pikmin 3 (possibly made by EAD4 and delayed until 2011 due to Art Acedemy)
• EAD2 - Wii Vitality
• EAD4 - Art Academy (Makers of Big Brain Academy so I assumed it was them :P)
• EAD Tokyo - Super Mario Galaxy 2
• Project M - Metroid: Other M
• Retro Studios - Wii Project
• Monolith Soft - Monado: Beginning of the World
• Treasure - Sin and Punishment 2
• Arika -  Endless Ocean 2

I'm not seeing any room for Zelda and knowing Nintendo, half of these are probably wrong..
