sorry if this thread was made before...but i want to buy a ps3 soon since i recently got a 1080p hd tv and i want to watch blu ray movies and play some of the playstation games...does anyone know if there will be a price cut soon before christmas on the ps3 80gb??? 

no price cuts have been confirmed. youre only hope is to wait to see if there will be a price cut announcement at tgs

Why waste time? Pick one up now.
You'll probably want some games- MGS4 and Uncharted are both awesome games with incredible graphics.

If this come true. Ps3 sales will rise, plus with the release of new games this season+ rise even more. If only there was a price cut.

Why on Earth would someone here now? It's up to the board room at Sony; no one here would know. Why do people ask these questions? I sell Electronics and people ask me I know the release date for Final Fantasy. How the hell should I know. Their response: is there someone there that does know, like the manager?

I would wait until January/February.

Sony might get desperate and cut the price in November, but if they don't they will definitely cut it very early in the new year.

If there is a substantial cut here in Australia (where prices are exorbinate), I may pick one up.
