hmmm well i liked the demo. i think i will buy when it comes out

Is it the same demo that X360 users got over a year ago?

If so, it's a pretty good demo. Followed by a meh-worthy full game. Namco did a stellar job at a demo (at least for the X360 - You got the first 30 minutes of the game, just about).

well I played it and got killed by the boar (I think I almost got him though). Seems like a cool game, my mind isn't blown and unfortunately it decided nothing for me. I'll probably only get two RPGs this season. One is definately Valkyrie Chronicles. I don't know if I want Eternal Sonata or Tales of Symphonia 2 to be the second one though. I guess I'll wait for reviews of ToS2.

eternal sonata is like my favorite game on the 360 next to bioshock

Eternal Sonata was very good. Great art, Great battle system, Great feeling. Easily will be the best RPG on PS3 when released. If your starved RPG PS3 owner, your saving grace is here. The only thing is the story just gets a little wierd. 8/10.

I'm definitely buying it mainly for three reasons:

1. The AMAZING music. The soundtrack is one of the best I've heard, behind Shadow of the Colossus and the Zelda series.

2. The visuals. It just looks beautiful.

3. To show Namco (and everyone else) that ps3 owners buy JRPGs.

I played the demo, and everything was so cliched and boring. I'm still not sure if there's even a story to the game, since I had only a short dialogue to get a quest (I hope it doesn't work like some god awful WRPG). You could buy it, but if you're a 360 owner, there are far better Japanese RPGs to choose from. And if you don't own a 360, play last generation RPGs. Or RPGs on handhelds. Seriously, the sales of Final Fantasy will assure future RPGs for the PS3. Don't buy this crappy game.
