Great screen shots. So when is Star Ocean 4 going to be released?

I love the art style of this game. It's like a mix of Xenosaga and Phantasy Star.

I have Star Ocean 3 but haven't started it yet. I'm going to wait for the PSP Star Oceans to come out first and play them all in series.

I have never played a STar Ocean....but as its a prequel & the story is extremely appealing to me n my futuristic imagination...I will definetely buy this.

Just praying for it to come to the PS3 (will give them time until next TGS to announce it)....or Wii will have to be sacrificed in 2009 xmas for a 360.

Most likely because IU was done on an earlier iteration of the engine.

i think it looks similar to IU.. its just IU lacks that polish and extra time.. still i'm happy with all these games coming along.. its just my wallet and bank account is hurting with all these games.. >__>

That does look incredible, I just want them to announce something about the EU release before I get too excited

To be fair, looking at how Star Ocean 3 debuted, there wasn't much of a pause between the North American and European release. There was only a 1 month difference (August 31st to October 1st) between them.

However, the damning thing for Star Ocean, was that Till the End of Time launched a full year and a half earlier in Japan than in the West. The friggin' directors cut was already out for 8 months in Japan before it came to North America.

Fortunately, though, SO3 did seem to do very well in the West, and with Square's new "Publish it worldwide" push between IU and TLR, I think we should expect a release date around March or April 09 in the west, to capture the typcal March/April gaming push.

@ mrstickball, I do really hope so... I do hope that SE do keep this simultaneous trend going, though of course it wont happen for XIII
