As a gamer I wouldn't say sony has nothing cause the RPGs on PS2 and PSP are the best out right now. Persona 4 Will take JRPG of the year yet again IMO. and i say JRPG cause overall RPG will goto Fallout 3 with only hype even though im sure it will be great.

1) Where did you play IU considering you don't even own a X360

3) Why do you even feel the need to flame a forum about an Xbox 360 game? It's not like We're over there crapping all over the new From Software RPG that you got. Be happy with that. But at any rate, I'm glad to enjoy this game.

And also, I'm just wondering: Didn't Tri-Ace make a ton of phenominal RPGs for the PS2 as well as some mediocre ones? Did RPG quality suddenly drop when they started working for another system, or is it merely because you don't own the system that they're developing for, and are getting aggrevated by the cold shoulder that Playstation JRPG-ers are getting entering their 3rd year of console ownership?

 

1) At my friend named John's house. He's a firecrotch that lives down the street from me. We go to school together.

2) When you stated the Tri-Ace has more capability than From Software at making JRPGS I just clearly pointed out that IU is a terrible atrocious piece of shit. I'm not flaming, just stating my opinion.

I'm not getting aggravated because we have DEMON"S SOUL BITCH!!!

Now why in the hell did you do this?  This thread has nothing to do with the PS3 and you even picked the side most likely to lose in the end based on history and critic scores.  Please stop making me wish I wasn't a fan of the same console as you.

Critic-wise? I dunno. They seem to have equal chances to me. Both universes are interesting (SO universe doesn't need to be explained, DS-seems gothic, cold, and dark... that that strikes a string of interest with me). Both seem to be good looking from screenshots... it's too early to say anything now, but I don't think the games will end up far apart when it comes to scores.

To be fair, however, From Software really isn't the bastion of great JRPGs as far as I can remember:

From Software Tri-Ace
Enchanted Arms Star Ocean Series
Kings Field Valkyrie Profile Series
Forever Kingdom Radiata Stories
Eternal Ring Infinite Undiscovery
Evergrace

That's not to say that Sony being involved with From Software's new JRPG won't help it - I am sure it'll be a great game. However, if we were placing bets, I think a major Tri-Ace effort backed by Square Enix and Microsoft coffers may stand a better chance. But time will tell.

No. The whole story of Star Ocean 4 (which is a prequel to the rest of the SO series), is that World War 3 started in 2063, destroying most every part of the Earth (hence the nukes going off, and the pictures of ruined cityscapes). Humanity makes contacts with aliens and rebuilds somewhat, and sends the first crews off to explore space - Which your character is part of.
