Because the first Samurai Warriors sold 1 million on the PS2 in Japan alone. And this is just a spinoff of Dynasty Warriors. Japan eats that shit up.

If/when it does well, Dynasty Warriors will surely follow because it's not doing spectacular on PS360 and Koei and keep running back to the PS2 with ports forever to make their money's worth.

 

DW6 didn't do well on PS360 because it's a piece of "S**T".

They have simplified the game so much you could play it smashing random buttons and not even watch the TV...

 

Koei hasn't innovated in those games in ages...

 



PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

I don't know what Samurai Warrior is , is it the same as Dynasty Warriors ? that game is so boring .

Puh-lease. Koei is a company trying to stay afloat (hence the Tecmo merger). This not being ported somewhere would be a stupid move on Koei's part. It's free money. And, its not like SW: Katana did well.

They better stay afloat.  I want a romance 12.

As for SW: Katana... have you see it or read reviews for it?  It was horribly done in comparison to the real SW franchise.  It was like DQ: Swords... but bad.

People don't buy these games so much for the gameplay but for the characters and the timepieces in history.

A large portion being the same people who buy Romance of the Three Kingdoms games... and used to buy Nobunaga's Ambition.

In Japan, Samurai Warriors is the same as gundam and monster hunter. Very mediocre games that sell like hotcakes because of the names attached to the disc (except monster hunter, I don't get the obsession there). This means alot to the Wii as it'll be another big selling 3rd party title.

Honestly, I don't care about Samurai Warriors, I'm more interested in the next iteration of Dynasty Warriors (hoping Koei may finally give us a next gen experience).

Monster Hunter is not medicre.  It's just a good series that is somewhat held back by some issues(akward controls, poor collision detection)

Yep it is a pretty big deal. All Japanese developers are starting to go this way except Square of course but they've kinda sold out in a few ways haha to you know who.

Wonder if this will ever make it stateside.
