I think Biden won harder than Obama did, just because Palin basically opted out of the debate. It's not so much a debate when she doesn't answer a single question. It's more like a candid Biden interview with live commentary from Palin.

let me sum up the debate with one line from each canidate-

Biden- McCain sucks

Palin- Did I mention McCain is a maverick?

To those who say she dodge every question, she did dodge alot, but not every question. In fact she rarely dodged the leading questions (she did it 2-3 times), what she dodged was Biden attacks, and rebuttles.

In this case, Biden is paper and Palin is rock. Near the end he dealt a huge blow to the maverick image.

She dodged everything by attacking him on taxes, etc, and I thought Biden did a great job of countering what she said.

She used soccer mom too much as a crutch. She avoided a lot of the questions, and she wasn't nearly as confident as Biden.

Biden was more confident, and his tits were greater.

Biden wins.

NO NO NO, the tax cut went through before 9/11.

Yup, Rubang remembers his history.

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Palin. She did what she set out to do and swayed undecided voters. In addition, it can be said that Biden portrayed himself more "Gore-ish" because of his sighing.

^ How would you know that?

TV undecided voter interviews.

Because a few random people off the street is a great indication of how the nation as a while feels. Not.

Also, is it just me or did Palin say something about wanting to talk with talaban? I think I misheard that but...

Public perception? I think Palin will be the one who had the positive impact.

She went in there, everyone was expecting her to be a moron. She was repetitive, ignorant, and inarticulate. Much better than completely incompetent or moronic.

Biden won the debate, but that was never in question.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

According to CNN, whenever Palin said a "folksy" tale about soccer moms or whatever, everybody turned their knobs down. They don't like being talked to like that.

Funny, that's when I was drinking the hardest.

CBS: "46% of uncommitted voters who watched the debate tonight thought Joe Biden was the winner. 21% thought Sarah Palin won, 33% thought it was a draw... 98% after the debate saw [Biden] as knowledgeable (79% before the debate)."

So it seems the electorate isn't as stupid as I had thought.
