Palin, she did a great job for her limited experience... Biden fell back at attacking the past to much.

People needs to realize that the 48.7 trillion dollars in debt was not made by the Bush administration. It was made by a large majority of presidents over the years. Things just hit a point where it crashed into itself.

I do remember BUSH started his presidency with a surplus. Who spent it again?

A few planes hitting a coupe of important buildings kind of made it so spending had to go up a touch.

Are you saying 9/11 was the reason Bush spent the surplus?

ssj12 is right on this one, and the economy wasn't doing the greatest when Bush got it though.

But the Bush tax cuts were inexcusable, they cost more than double what the Iraq War did.

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. I think Biden won harder than Obama did, just because Palin basically opted out of the debate. It's not so much a debate when she doesn't answer a single question. It's more like a candid Biden interview with live commentary from Palin.

let me sum up the debate with one line from each canidate-

Biden- McCain sucks

Palin- Did I mention McCain is a maverick?

To those who say she dodge every question, she did dodge alot, but not every question. In fact she rarely dodged the leading questions (she did it 2-3 times), what she dodged was Biden attacks, and rebuttles.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

It was a tie. The only way to say who won, is which one you prefer going into it already.

Funny when not fucking it up comes across as a win.

Yes... I'm starting to think the McCain camp let the expectations get so low in order to allow her to perform as she did and let it be seen as strength.

Biden countered that effectively by attacking McCain repeatedly which I though was very effective.

Saying 2 words that pertain to the question does not count as answering the question.... She only dodged so she wouldn't embarass herself again.

Except Biden knew McCain's record better than Palin did...

Palin. She did what she set out to do and swayed undecided voters. In addition, it can be said that Biden portrayed himself more "Gore-ish" because of his sighing.

^ How would you know that?

TV undecided voter interviews.

NO NO NO, the tax cut went through before 9/11.

She dodged questions about the economy by repeating points about oil and energy.

If I recall correctly, she also didn't answer the last question properly (the one about something they flip-flopped on). I could be wrong on this one though.
